Alonso Perez-Soltero holds a Ph.D. in Information and Communications Technologies from the University of Murcia, Spain. He obtained a Master of Science in Computer Technology from the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey, Monterrey Campus, and a degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering from the University of Sonora, both in Mexico.
As a part of his professional career, he has worked as a Systems Manager and Consultant in various companies. He has been Coordinator of the Postgraduate Program in Industrial Engineering, Head of the Degree Program and Follow-up Coordinator of the Industrial and Systems Engineering Program, President of the Information Technologies Academy, Leader of the Information Technologies Research Group, and Head of Tutoring. All these activities took place within the Industrial Engineering Department of the University of Sonora. He has extensive experience as a professor in the area of Information Systems at public and private universities, in addition to having directed theses at the postgraduate and undergraduate levels.
He has published books and/or book chapters in Germany, India, Brazil, and Mexico; articles in peer-reviewed journals in the United States, England, Australia, India, Malaysia, Spain, Brazil, Chile, Cuba, and Mexico; in addition to articles in international conferences in countries such as the United States, Spain, Portugal, Brazil, Argentina, Colombia, Venezuela, Peru, Cuba, Costa Rica, and Mexico. He has participated as a reviewer for various peer-reviewed international journals and as a member of the scientific committee for national and international conferences.
Among his main current activities he participates as a teacher at the postgraduate and undergraduate levels, in addition to continuing the development of various research projects.
His research areas are related to the fields of Knowledge Management and Auditing, and Information Technologies in both University Academic Departments and Small and Medium Enterprises.
